To ensure we can provide the right support, we look at several dimensions of readiness. Our intake criteria are based on the KTH Innovation Readiness Level™ (IRL) model. This framework helps startups understand their readiness across key dimensions, including team, tech, customer, business model, IP, and funding.
Customer Readiness (CRL 8)
You have early paying customers or strong validation beyond pilot projects (Health & Sciences CRL 6+).
Technology Readiness (TRL 8)
Your core technology is functional and deployed in real environments, not just lab or prototype (Health & Sciences TRL 5+).
Business Model Readiness (BRL 7 )
You’ve defined a clear value proposition and begun testing or generating revenue from your business model (Health & Sciences BRL 5+).
Intellectual Property Rights (IPRL 6)
You have identified, protected, or are actively managing your key IP assets (Health & Sciences IPRL 6+).
Team Readiness (TMRL 6)
You have a committed founding team with complementary skills and some operational capacity (Health & Sciences TMRL 6+).
Funding Readiness (FRL 7 or 6 if bootstrapping)
You have secured initial funding (dilutive or non-dilutive) and are preparing for a seed or Series A raise (Health & Sciences FRL 6+).
